Living and traveling to a new city requires the student to act responsible. It is important that students are always prepared and know what to do in an emergency situation. Maintaining the health and well-being of Palazzi students is a priority. Emergency and Contact Assistance
Student Life and Development Department main goal is to make the study abroad experience as positive and memorable as possible. While Florence is a beautiful quaint city, one must take precautions, as in any other foreign country. Our office has an open door policy. We encourage students to come to us with any health safety or medical issue. We truly enjoy guiding our students and assisting them throughout their stay in Florence. Note: Office hours and fees are subject to change. It is also highly recommended to call as email is not an immediate reply, especially in cases that require a quick reply.
Medical and Counselling Services:
We collaborate with professional Doctors and Counsellors who come from a long and highly recommended background in the field of assisting students and foreigners who are having struggles to adjusting to the new country and or stresses of daily life. All of these doctors speak English fluently and some are covered under the HTH/CISI insurance policy, but it is always recommended to inquire how many visits are covered under your insurance plan.

Safety Tips:
Unfortunately, pick pocketing and small thievery are the most common criminal activity you might encounter. As in any major city, you should always be aware of your surroundings and personal belongings. Students should apply the same safety tips as when traveling.
